Coaching
The continuation of our program relies on parents volunteering to coach. If you'd like to be considered for a position please reach out to us at HBRyouthsoccer@gmail.com . Wither you are a first timer or a returning coach, we're happy to have you! As a coach you will receive resources/game day rules and a COOL Coach Shirt! We couldn't do it with out you!
Responsibilities
Coaches
Communicating with player's parents 2-3 weeks prior to first game
your practice schedule
the HBRYSL Game schedule
Typical practice duration and frequency - (practices should take place at HBR Elem, Big Rock Park Dist. or Waterman Lions Field.)
Pre-K: 30 min. max starting week of first game
K-1: 45 min. max starting 1-2 weeks prior to first game
2-3rd, 4/5th : 1 hr. max starting 1-2 weeks prior to first game
Collecting Medical Treatment Authorization from each player prior to the start of the first practice, insures everyone is covered under our insurance
Distributing team jerseys/socks
Reading, understanding, and applying GAME DAY RULES.
Setting up or taking down equipment on assigned game days
Asst. Coach
Coordinating and assisting coach with practices and games
filling in for the coach on days they are absent

Referees
Referees are important part of soccer. We need experienced players and/or referees to make our community recreational soccer a success! Must be 5th grade or older to apply. Refs are paid on a per game basis. K-1 games are $15, 2-6th $20 due to length of game. Community Service Hours can be collected for this position for those who wish. Interested?
