Coaching

The continuation of our program relies on parents volunteering to coach. If you'd like to be considered for a position please reach out to us at HBRyouthsoccer@gmail.com . Wither you are a first timer or a returning coach, we're happy to have you! As a coach you will receive resources/game day rules and a COOL Coach Shirt! We couldn't do it with out you!

Responsibilities

Coaches

  • Communicating with player's parents 2-3 weeks prior to first game

    • Practice schedule

    • Game schedule

Typical practice duration and frequency - (practices should take place at either HBR elementary or Big Rock Park Dist.)

    • Pre-K: 30 min. max starting week of first game

    • K-1: 45 min. max starting 1-2 weeks prior to first game

    • 2-3, 4/5/6 : 1 hr. max starting 1-2 weeks prior to first game

  • Collecting Medical Treatment Authorization form from each player prior to the start of the first practice

  • Distributing team jerseys

  • Reading, understanding, and applying GAME DAY RULES.

  • Setting up or taking down equipment on assigned game days

Asst. Coach

  • Coordinating and assisting coach with practices and games

Referees

Referees are important part of soccer. We need experienced players and/or referees to make our community recreational soccer a success! Must be 7th grade or older to apply. Refs are paid on a per game basis. K-1 games are $15, 2-6th $20 due to length of game. Community Service Hours can be collected for this position for those who wish. Interested?
